Leading satellite emessaging and emergency notification technolgies provider, Globalstar, recently announced their latest rescue count has hit 10,000. This incredible milestone reflects Globalstar’s enduring commitment to safety and preparedness with their range of powerful and portable SPOT satellite messengers leading the trend.

The SPOT devices themselves - SPOT GEN 4, SPOT X Bluetooth, and SPOT TRACE - were the driving force behind Globalstar's 10,000 rescue achievement, due to their satellite capabilities that tell emergency support responders exactly where the incident is. Indeed, SPOT-initiated rescues have taken place all over the globe, on six continents, and in over 100 countries.

“At SPOT, our mission is to ensure everyone can enjoy safe, outdoor adventures with the comfort of knowing help is just one button away,” says Vice President of Global Sales Jake Rembert, “We are incredibly proud to have facilitated 10,000 rescues.”

SPOT's built-in SOS functionality immediately transmits an alert at the push of a button, detailing the user's GPS coordinates to Globalstar's emergency response partner, FocusPoint. At that point, needs are assessed and responders local to the user's location are called upon and deployed rapidly. This direct access to emergency resources underscores a continued consumer need for connectivity, especially for adventurists in remote areas outside of cellular range.
