The SPOT devices themselves - SPOT GEN 4, SPOT X Bluetooth, and SPOT TRACE - were the driving force behind Globalstar's 10,000 rescue achievement, due to their satellite capabilities that tell emergency support responders exactly where the incident is. Indeed, SPOT-initiated rescues have taken place all over the globe, on six continents, and in over 100 countries.

SPOT's built-in SOS functionality immediately transmits an alert at the push of a button, detailing the user's GPS coordinates to Globalstar's emergency response partner, FocusPoint. This direct access to emergency resources underscores a continued consumer need for connectivity, especially for adventurists in remote areas outside of cellular range.
